Welcome

Craig Abercrombie started Square Dancing in 1962 and began his Square Dance calling career in 1969..

Following his retirement from the US Postal Service in the fall of 2002, Craig expanded his now 48 year calling career by developing a full time calling program.

Craig is currently calling over 215 nights a year across the United States and Canada.  Craig resides in the state of Oregon where he maintains a home program that ranges from mainstream all the way through A-2, cues round dances from easy level through phase 4, and calls for One Night Party Hoedown Dances, some which are annual events.

Craig is an accredited member of CALLERLAB and is ASCAP/BMI licensed.  He is past president of the North Willamette Callers & Cuers Association.  He is a recording artist and has recorded for Rawhide-Buckskin Records and previously recorded for Cascade and Cardinal Records.

Craig calls for individual clubs, weekends, and festivals. He currently is on staff at Moxee Spring Sashay, R Square D Octoberfest and formally  Circle 8 Square Dance Ranch both annual weekends, and was the Featured Caller and Key Note Speaker for the 49th Washington State Federation Leadership Seminar.   Having called at National, State, area functions, and he specializes in Company Parties, Birthdays, Graduations, Weddings, etc.  He would love to call for your function as well!

Craig Abercrombie's love of calling is evident by his enthusiasm behind the mike.  His smooth-flowing interesting choreography complements his extremely  popular singing call voice and believes Square Dancing should be "FUN", no matter what level  is being called.  Craig's motto is  "If it's not fun, I will not do it!"
